Anniversries

Wedding anniversaries date back to the Holy Roman Empire. When a married couple reached their 25th, the husband would crown their wife with a silver wreath and then a gold wreath on their 50th. Later years saw the addition of other named gifts. This is the traditional list. Other countries have some variations.
